I have shared the link with the people I work with and they are really enjoying your updates and your trip. Some have even said they wish they had the guts to do that. Good luck and Godspeed on your journey

Have a great adventure Erik. We miss you at the monument and will be praying for a safe trip. May the winds be at your back, the sun on your face, and the flies ten feet away from you.

Erik,
I am a friend of Dan’s (and now Kim’s, too!) from Duluth. I actually drove up the shore today at lunch break to see if I could see you working your way down the shore. Got as far as Stoney Point, and ran out of lunch-time, with no sightings. Just wanted to send you wishes for calm waters, and a safe trip. Sounds like a grand adventure!!

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet …
May you live as long as you want,
And never want as long as you live.
Follow your dreams! I hope to meet you and your companion someday when you return to Bearskin Lodge. I look forward to reading of your progress. Safe travels.

Thinking of you as you launch your dream. All the best.
Kitigan-
From one lead dog to another…remember, I am your #1 fan. You’ll have your sea legs before too long.

Hey Erik, I grew up reading about the exciting adventures of Kit Carson, Jim Bridger, Daniel Boone, etc. I think it is awesome that my brother-in-law, although 160 years later follows in those footsteps. You will be in our prayers for a safe and healthy journey. Look forward to seeing you when you get back. Take Care and enjoy the excitement of following your dream.
All are love Denny
